The History Game – 19th century

Hi Everybody, Here’s a video that shows how to find the study sets on quizlet, Please watch it and them go over and practice learning at the quizlet website!

This semester (Winter/Spring 2020) we’ll be continuing the History Game: 19th century. It will be a little different than it was last year, because now, instead of having datecards for every year, there will just be one datecard for each decade – this way, we’ll be able to focus more on the questions! Plus I’ve added a new feature – wildcards! The wildcards each have a question that players can answer to score extra points – it’s going to be really fun! I can’t wait!

If you would like to practice outside of class, here are some links to help you along:

19th century date cards at quizlet (10 questions)

19th century question cards at quizlet (60 questions)

19th century wild cards at quizlet (108 questions)

The History Game gives students an opportunity to learn about important people, events and historical trends through gameplay. The game revolves around a collection of date/event memory cards – students can acquire cards by accurately connecting the date and event. Once a card is acquired, the student will have opportunities to score points by asking other students questions about the card’s topic.
Each class session will begin with a brief minilesson about a topic of the week. This will be followed by a review of previous week’s topics, and then gameplay.

This semester we’ll be looking at World History during the 19th century.
